Ingredients for two people

  • All-purpose flour 120 g
  • Medium potato 3
  • Egg 1
  • Butter 25 g
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Ground black pepper 1 tsp

  1. Scrub potatoes well and remove any eyes and peel them. Chop them into large chunks.
  2. Place the potatoes in a pot filled with water, add a pinch of salt, and bring the water to a boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer the potatoes uncovered. Potatoes are ready when they are fork tender.
  3. Put the boiled potatoes in a colander and drain the water. Grate the boiled potatoes in a mixing bowl. You can also mash the potatoes with a fork, a masher, or even a potato ricer to get a more uniform texture.
  4. Add the butter to the mashed potatoes and mix until the butter melts in the heat of the mashed potatoes.
  5. Crack the egg into a bowl and beat together until frothy. Then add it to the potatoes.
  6. Add flour, salt, and ground black pepper to the potatoes and stir vigorously and fold your flour into the potatoes to form a smooth dough. The amount of flour depends on the potato starch.
  7. Lightly dust corn starch on a surface and roll out the mashed potato until its thickness is about 1 centimeter.
